A rep sees no commission

The most common ticket in Lokom, and almost always configuration.

Reps see one of a small number of messages, and the message is deliberately the same for several different causes — reps are never shown anything about billing or plan status. So the diagnosis happens on your side, not theirs.

What the rep is seeing

WhereMessageMeaning
Pipedrive deal panel"No commission on this deal yet"This particular deal earns nothing yet
Pipedrive deal panel"Connect your Lokom account to see your commission"They haven't logged in with Pipedrive
My Plan"No compensation plan assigned yet"No live plan covers them
My Payouts"No commissions yet"Covered, but nothing has closed yet
My Payouts"Nothing linked yet"Their login isn't linked to their participant record

Check in this order

1. Is the person a participant?

Organization → Participants. If they're missing, they weren't picked from Pipedrive, or they're archived. Un-archive or add them.

2. Are they in a role?

Organization → Roles. Plans attach to roles, never to people. A participant with no role can never be paid.

3. Does that role have a plan?

Plans. If the role shows No plan yet, that's your answer.

4. Is the plan active, not draft?

A draft plan runs no calculation at all. Open it and Activate. → A plan won't activate

5. Is a period open, and does the deal fall in it?

If Lokom says No open period, deals cannot be attributed. Define one. → Set up your workspace

6. Did their deals match the rules?

Review & Close may show: "Your plan is live. None of this period's closed deals matched your rules yet." That's a rule-filter problem, not a plumbing problem — check the rule's trigger and filters. → Create a rule

7. Is there a quota, if the plan needs one?

Any rule measuring attainment needs a quota to measure against. Symptoms:

  • "No quota set for this rep this period"
  • "Set quota in Quota Manager to see payout estimates"
  • "No quota to accelerate on — create one for <role> in Quota Setting"

Set up quotas

8. Only for members who log in — is their account linked?

Settings → Users. If the row shows Needs review, Multiple matches or Flagged, their login isn't tied to their participant record and My Payouts will stay empty. → Link a user to the right participant

When it is not one rep — it is everyone

If a whole plan stopped paying, stop working down the list above. The list diagnoses one person; this is a different shape and has a different cause.

The signal. Re-compute the period. If the plan is broken you get a warning instead of the green result:

Computation paid nobody <N> plans produced no commission, but have paid on this period before. Check the plan's Source and recipient fields before closing.

The usual cause is a rule edit that broke a field reference. A rule whose Source, trigger field or recipient no longer resolves does not error — Lokom skips those deals exactly as configured and the run completes. Nothing is flagged at the moment you save the rule.

Two traps worth knowing:

  • A quota can drag a rule's Source with it. Gating a rule on a quota forces the rule's Source to match that quota's basis field. Bind a quota built on the wrong field and the rule's Source moves to that field too. → Set up quotas
  • A stale total looks healthy. Until you re-compute, the period keeps displaying the last computed figure. A plan can be broken for weeks and the number on screen will not move. Re-compute before you trust a total you have not recalculated since editing a plan.

Special cases

A team bonus or manager override didn't compute. Look for these on the statement:

  • "No role target was committed for the measured role this period" — commit a role target in Quota Setting.
  • "The team could not be measured for this period" — check the role's members and the rule's quota, then recompute.
  • "The role target is zero, so attainment is recorded as 0%. No accelerator applies."

A deal has no attribution date. Deal Review says "This deal has no attribution date." Set the deal's attribution date field in Pipedrive, then recompute the period.

The number changed after review. "The deal's event date was updated after this commission was reviewed. Re-run the period to recalculate."

The rep left. Their statement carries a No longer active badge — "Earned during tenure through <date>." That's correct behaviour, not a bug.
