Update your name, language and sign-in

Everything on this page is about you personally, not about your workspace. Changing it affects only your own account.

Where to start: click your avatar in the top-right corner → Profile.

This is not the Settings sidebar

Profile lives behind your avatar, deliberately. The Settings section in the sidebar is about the whole workspace (see Set up your workspace).

Change how your name appears

Lokom guesses your name from Pipedrive when you sign up, so it is often worth a look. You may see a nudge saying "Is your name right? We guessed it from Pipedrive."

  1. Open Profile.
  2. Under Your details, edit First name (required) and Last name (optional).
  3. A preview line shows "Teammates will see you as: …".
  4. Click Save.

Expected result: a Saved. confirmation, and your new name across the app.

Watch for: first name cannot be blank, and very long names are rejected with "This name is too long."

Change the app language

Lokom is available in English and Français.

  1. Open Profile → Language.
  2. Pick your language.
  3. Confirm in the dialog.

Quicker route: the avatar menu itself carries a small EN / FR badge next to your name — click it to switch without opening Profile at all.

Expected result: the app reloads in your chosen language. This is per-person — it does not change anyone else's language, and it does not change your workspace's locale.

If Lokom guessed French from your browser, you'll see a banner offering to change it back.

Change your login email

  1. Open Profile → Sign-in & security → Change email.
  2. Enter the new address and click Send confirmation.
  3. Lokom emails a confirmation link to both your old and new addresses. Open both.

Expected result: an Email change pending badge until you confirm. Your current email keeps working the whole time — a pending change can never lock you out. You can click Cancel pending change at any point.

Common problems

Change your password

  1. Open Profile → Sign-in & security → Password.
  2. Enter your current password, then the new one twice.
  3. Click Change password.

Expected result: Password updated.

If you signed up with Pipedrive, there is no password

You'll see: "You sign in to Lokom with Pipedrive, so there's no Lokom password to change here. Manage your password in your Pipedrive account." This is normal, not an error.

Passwords must be at least 8 characters when changed here. At sign-up, Lokom asks for at least 12 characters including a number. [NEEDS CONFIRMATION] — whether the 8-character floor is intentional or the 12-character rule applies everywhere.

Choose what Lokom is allowed to load

Lokom asks before it loads anything beyond what sign-in needs. You answer once, in a banner on your first visit — and you can change that answer here, at any time.

  1. Open Profile → Cookies and tracking.
  2. Click Manage cookie preferences.
  3. Toggle a group on or off, then click Save my choices.

There are three groups:

GroupWhat it loadsDefault
Strictly necessaryKeeps you signed in and remembers your languageAlways on — cannot be switched off
Product analyticsTells us which screens get used and where people get stuck; can replay a session that hit an errorOff
Support formThe Help Scout form you use to write to us from inside the appOff

Expand any group in the dialog to see the individual cookies it sets, who provides them, and how long they last.

Expected result: turning a group off erases what it stored. With Support form off, Give feedback and Contact support in the ? menu reopen this dialog instead of the form. You can always reach us at support@lokom.org either way.

Your choice is per-browser

Consent is stored in the browser you set it in, not on your account. Set it again on another device or in a private window.

Leave your organization

Removes your own access to this workspace. Members and admins can both do it.

  1. Open Profile and scroll to Leave organization. The card reads "You lose access to this workspace immediately. Your payout history is kept, and an admin can restore your access."
  2. Click Leave organization.
  3. The dialog is titled with your workspace's name, for example "Leave Acme?". Type your email address. The button stays disabled until it matches; capital letters don't matter.
  4. Click Leave organization.

Expected result: you are signed out and land on the sign-in page. Signing in again shows "Lokom is admin-only right now" until an admin brings you back.

Watch for: if you are the workspace's only admin, Lokom refuses with "You are the only admin. Promote another admin first, or delete the workspace instead." Nothing changes until another admin exists. → Change someone's role · Download or delete your data

Leaving is not deleting

Leaving archives your login — the same state as an admin archiving you. Your payout history stays, and so does your participant record, so you are still paid and billed until an admin archives the participant. To come back, ask an admin to reactivate you. → Archive someone who left

Your role is read-only here

Profile shows a line like "Your role: Admin — managed by your organization." You cannot change your own role. An admin changes it from Settings → Users. → Invite a teammate
