Full setup walkthrough
From signing up to a closed period. A first pass takes an afternoon; the slow part is deciding what your plan should be, not entering it.
1. Connect Pipedrive
Organization → Data Sources, connect with an account that sees every deal, and let the first sync finish. → Connect Pipedrive
2. Check your participants
Organization → Participants. Your Pipedrive users arrive here. Archive anyone who is not paid commission — support, ops, a departed rep — so they never enter a payout or your bill. → Manage your team
3. Create a role and put people in it
Organization → Roles. Create the role you actually pay — "Sales Rep" — and add the reps to it. Plans attach to roles, not people, so this step decides who a plan will cover.
4. Build a plan
Plans → New plan, on the role you just made. Two routes:
- Guide me walks you from OTE and variable share to a suggested rate. Take this one if you are designing rather than transcribing.
- I know what I'm building goes straight to the rule builder. Take this one if you already know exactly what your plan is.
5. Stress-test it before it is real
Plans → Stress Test. Run the draft against deals you have already closed. You will see what it would have paid, and what looks wrong — a rate that pays more on renewals than you intended, a threshold nobody clears, a cap that quietly bites your best rep.
This is advisory. It never blocks you from activating a plan. → Stress-test a plan
Everything above is free and unmetered. Publishing a live plan covering a second rep is the moment Lokom asks you to upgrade. → Billable reps
6. Activate
From the plan, choose Activate. The draft version becomes the active version, the plan
becomes active, and the reps in that role become billable.
7. Set quotas, if your plan uses them
Quotas → Setting. Skip this if your plan is a flat percentage. Any plan with a quota model, a threshold or an accelerator needs numbers here or it has nothing to measure attainment against. → Set up quotas
8. Run and review the period
Compute the period, then work through Review & Close:
- Deal review — exclude deals that should not pay.
- Review commissions — go statement by statement, validate or reject.
- Close commissions — lock the period.
→ Run a period · Review and close
9. Export to payroll
Generate the payout summary as CSV, or a per-rep PDF statement, and hand it to whoever runs payroll. → Export to payroll
