Manage your team
Three things live under the Organization section, and they nest: participants are people, roles are jobs, teams group them.
Participants
Organization → Participants lists everyone Lokom knows about, mostly synced from Pipedrive.
A participant is a person whose commission Lokom manages. They do not need a Lokom login — most reps only ever see their commission inside Pipedrive.
Archive anyone you do not pay commission to. Support staff, ops, contractors, a rep who left. Archiving removes them from payout calculation and from your bill, while keeping their history and past statements intact.
Open any participant to see their role, their plan, their attainment and their payout history in one place.
Roles
Organization → Roles. A role is a job — "Sales Rep", "Account Executive", "Team Lead".
The important property: plans attach to roles, not to people. Consequences worth internalising:
- Hire someone into an existing role and they are covered by its plan immediately.
- Change the plan and everyone in the role changes with it.
- Two reps paid differently need two roles, even if their job title is identical.
Teams
Teams group roles and people, and they are what team-level rules read. A rule paying
team_total, or a manager override following deal_manager, resolves through the team
structure — so if a manager override is paying the wrong person, the team is usually where
the problem is, not the rule.
Adding someone mid-period
Add them to Pipedrive, let the sync bring them in, and put them in a role. If the role's plan is live, they start accruing commission from that point.
Two consequences to know:
- Billing. If they are still there at the end-of-period snapshot, they are billable for that period at the full rate — there is no proration. Read Billable reps before you time hires around it.
- Quotas. A new rep has no quota until you set one. Any rule measuring attainment has nothing to measure. → Set up quotas
When someone leaves
Archive the participant. From that moment they stop being billable — and if you archive before the period's snapshot, they are not billed for that period at all.
Archiving does not erase anything. Their closed statements, their payout history and the audit trail behind them survive, which is what you need when someone queries a payment made months after they left.
