Read and reconcile a payout

Payouts is the first item in your sidebar and where Lokom drops you after login. The page is headed Payout Summary, and its job is stated at the top: "Reconcile a closed period before the payroll hand-off."

This page explains, it does not decide

Payouts is read-only. Validating, rejecting and re-running statements happen in Review & Close. Come here to understand a number and hand it to payroll; go there to change it. → Review and close

Goal

Answer, for any period: what are we paying in total, who is it going to, and can I explain any single line of it.

Prerequisites: a period that has been computed. Closed periods are the point of the page; an open one still shows figures, but they move.

Start at the org level

  1. Click Payouts.
  2. Pick the period from the Period dropdown.

What you get before selecting anything:

  • Payout (payable) — the headline total, with N statements · N payable beneath it.
  • A table of Team / Share of payout / Statements / Payable, plus an Org total row.

The page says what this view is for: "Nothing selected yet, so the detail pane holds the org-level read: where the spend sits, and where the reconciliation is incomplete."

Read the share column first. One team at 90% of spend is either your commercial reality or a plan mistake, and you want to know which before payroll runs.

Drill into a role

The left pane, Roles by team, lists All teams and then each team with its roles, member counts and amounts. Click a role — or use ↑ ↓ to move and to jump into the people list.

The detail pane then shows four checks worth reading in order:

ChipWhat it tells you
CompletenessWhether everyone expected actually has a statement. "No expected roster" means Lokom has nothing to compare against
Δ vs priorHow this role's spend moved against last period. "Structure changed" means the roster itself moved, so the comparison is not like-for-like
StatusHow many statements are validated
AttainmentA link straight to Quotas → Attainment for the same period

Below them, every person in the role with their payout and a Detail link.

Δ vs prior is the highest-value number on this page. A role whose spend doubled without a matching change in production is the single cheapest bug to catch before payday.

Explain one person's number

Click Detail on anyone. The person page is built to answer "why was I paid this?" from the top down.

1. The header — their team › role, the period, and two chips: whether the period is Closed and whether the statement is Validated. Then the payout total.

2. "How this payout was built" — the arithmetic as a single line:

R-Split €22,624 + R-Flat €7,500 + R-FlatMult €15,000 + Rule 1 €60,600
= Payout €105,724 (as exported to payroll)

One term per rule. If a rep expected a bonus and there is no term for it, the rule did not fire — that is your answer, and you never needed to open the plan.

3. "Breakdown by rule" — each rule expanded to the deals behind it, with a subtotal per rule and an amount per deal. Every deal name links straight to Pipedrive, so "which deal is that" is one click, not a search.

4. Footer: Computed commission — the sum, which should match the header.

5. SidebarAttainment vs quota and Plan in this period, the latter linking to the exact plan that produced the number. Use that link rather than the current plan: they can differ. → Plan lifecycle and versions

6. Prior periods — the same person's earlier closed statements, for a trend rather than a snapshot.

Hand it to payroll

Export for payroll sits at the top right of the summary. Export from a closed period. → Export to payroll

Common mistakes

  • Reconciling an open period. The figures move as deals land. Reconcile after close.
  • Reading the current plan instead of the one that paid. Use the Plan in this period link on the person page.
  • Trusting a total without Completeness. A role can look right and still be missing a person who never got a statement.
  • Trying to fix something here. Nothing on this page is editable — that is deliberate. Corrections go through Review & Close, then recompute.

When the numbers look wrong

  • The whole team is zero → check the plan is active and a period is open. → A rep sees no commission
  • One person is missing → check Completeness, then their role and plan.
  • A number is right but the rep disagrees → walk the breakdown with them, deal by deal. → Payout lineage
