What reps see
Most reps never open Lokom, and that is the design. Their commission comes to them where they already work.
In the Pipedrive deal
Lokom renders a panel inside the Pipedrive deal. The rep sees what this deal pays them, and under which rule, while the deal is still live — not in a spreadsheet at the end of the month.
Each rep sees the panel once they install the Lokom app in Pipedrive. → Turn on the commission panel
The number updates as the deal does. Change the value, move the stage, and the commission moves with it.
There is also a period view in Pipedrive showing how the current period is accruing overall.
How this is calculated
The panel's How this is calculated disclosure opens the arithmetic behind the number. Each rule that pays on the deal gets a line with its own payout, and under it the steps that produced that payout:
Rule 2 — €420.00 Deal value — €10,000.00 × 6% rate — €600.00 × 70% your share — €420.00
Each step carries the running total, so the last step is the rule's payout. A step appears for every part of the rule that moved the number: the field it read, the rate or flat amount, the accelerator factor and the attainment it was read at, the rep's share of a split, a threshold the deal did not clear, or a cap.
On a percentage rule, the accelerator factor is a blend of every band the rep's attainment passes through, not one tier's multiplier. On a ladder of 1× up to 100% and 1.5× above, a rep at 120% gets a factor of about 1.083. → How a ladder pays
The accelerator step appears even when the factor is 1×, so a rep on a rate ladder can see why nothing accelerated rather than being left to guess.
Two things do not break down into steps: a rule whose configuration Lokom can no longer read, and a rate derived per rep rather than set on the rule. Those lines show the deal value and the payout on their own, as they did before.
After the period closes
While a deal's period is open, being computed or in review, the panel shows the live estimate. Once an admin closes that period, the panel shows instead:
- Your commission, with the amount from the rep's statement for that period
- the caption "
<period>is closed" - a See it in My Payouts link, which opens My Payouts in a new tab
The amount is read from the same statement My Payouts shows, so the two always agree.
When a rep sees nothing
If a rep is not covered by a live plan, the panel shows an empty state:
No commission on this deal yet — "You'll see an estimate here once this deal earns commission."
The message is identical for every reason — no role, no plan, plan still in draft, archived rep, or the free plan's two-rep cap already used. Reps are never shown anything about billing. If a rep tells you they see this, check in order: are they in a role, does that role have a plan, is that plan live?
The same message appears on a deal whose period has closed when the rep's statement for that period has no amount for the deal.
A rep Lokom cannot match to a participant sees a different panel instead:
You're not set up in Lokom — "Your Lokom admin chooses who sees commission here. Ask them if you expected to."
The rep has nothing to do; logging in does not change it. Their Pipedrive user has to belong to an active participant: add them, or un-archive them, in Organization → Participants. → A rep sees no commission
In Lokom, for reps who want more
Lokom has exactly two permission levels: Admin and Member. There is no separate manager level.
A member who signs in gets a sidebar with three pages, and nothing else — no plans, no other people's numbers:
- My Payouts — their payout history, period by period, with the components and the deals behind each. Marked "Only you can see this."
- My Plan — the plan they are on, in plain terms: their base rate, their quota, their target variable pay, and the rate ladder they move through.
- Connections — whether Pipedrive is connected, and what access it granted. Read-mostly: see Connections, for members below.
Every other surface in Lokom — Payouts, Review & Close, Plans, Quotas, Organization, Settings — is admin-only. A non-admin cannot reach them, and they are not even rendered in their navigation.
Choosing a period, and keeping a copy
My Payouts opens on the current period. A Period dropdown above the history switches to any closed period the page has loaded; picking one opens that period's breakdown and scrolls to it. The rest of the history stays on screen, so two periods can be compared side by side. The list only holds what has loaded — View older periods extends both the history and the dropdown.
Closed periods carry a PDF of the statement, the same file the payroll export packages. A member downloads their own from either place:
- Export PDF, next to the period dropdown, for the period currently picked.
- The download icon on any closed row in the history.
The current period has no PDF — it is written when the period closes — so neither control appears while the current period is picked. A member can only ever download their own statement; there is no way to address someone else's.
Connections, for members
Connections shows a member the Pipedrive link their commission data comes from: "Pipedrive connected," the date it was connected since, and the list under "Access granted by Pipedrive."
A member can Connect Pipedrive or Reconnect Pipedrive when the link is missing or broken. A member cannot disconnect it — the page states this: "Your commission data comes from this connection. Only an admin can disconnect it." Disconnecting stops commission data syncing for everyone in the workspace, so it stays an admin action. Connecting only restores a link, so it does not.
Who sees what
| Their own payouts | Everyone's payouts | Plans & rules | Pipedrive connection | Billing | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Member | ✓ | their own plan, read-only | view, connect / reconnect | ||
| Admin | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ including disconnect | ✓ |
A manager who needs to see their team's numbers needs an Admin login — which shows them everyone's, not just their team's. If that is too much, they stay a Member and see only their own override earnings on My Payouts. There is no middle tier today.
Billing is admin-only, always. No member sees your plan tier, your invoice or your billable count.
When a period closes
Lokom emails each payee "Your <period> payout is ready to view," linking to My Payouts
— but only once the period is closed. Reps are never emailed provisional figures.
